Since the automobile was invented, a joy-ride on Woodstock's back roads make it a pleasure to travel in a quieter less-congested part of the world. Be sure to pay close attention to the speed-limits in villages which are always 25 MPH throughout Vermont. Pedestrians, equestrians and cyclists share our roads so relax and enjoy the drive. You may even find yourself behind a tractor or a horse-drawn wagon. Woodstock enjoys a slower pace of life and we want to keep it that way.
If you're in your own car, you'll find the roads comfortable to drive on, but in an RV or a camper, many of Vermont's back-roads are too narrow or soft to accommodate your vehicle. Take it easy in the larger vehicles and plan to stay on the paved roads.
The Woodstock Area Chamber of Commerce offers you a few tours that connect you to Vermont's creative economy. Artisan cheesemakers, furniture makers and craftsmen show off the best of what the Woodstock Area has to offer. Download any of these tours to lead you on an informative and beautiful ramble through the Woodstock hills.
