Woodstocker Boutique Inn
Our bright YELLOW inn has recieved the most awards in Woodstock - 17 in total and in 2015 it was voted 6th best USA B & B! Being a boutique hotel and not resembling a historic museum, we offer luxurious bedrooms and your experience will NOT be like staying with your Granny!
A FEW BASIC FACTS:
Contemporary remodeling from 2009-13 with most rooms offering king beds along with full A/C & amazing bathrooms. Some tubs light up, some rooms have two tubs and there is not a doily or piece of lace to be found on the property! We also offer the largest breakfast selection of all small Woodstock inns, and it's all cooked fresh to order at a time that suits you.
No hidden charges: Gratuities are NOT expected. We don’t believe in them! We do not impose resort fees, or service charges of any kind. ZILCH NADDA ZERO…not a cent. We have to add the State 10% tax to a bill and that’s it. Thus we are unlike most lodging establishments who slip on 8-10 % to your bill.
Clean air: We do not allow outdoor shoes in the house, in order to preserve good air quality. Feel free to bring a pair of favourite slippers or we have numerous pairs you may borrow for the duration of your stay.
Very Eco aware: Most food we prepare is local/organic and we use 95% earth friendly cleaning paper products with Seventh Generation providing most of the inns paper goods.
Children: The Woodstocker is designed with the comfort and relaxation of adults in mind, so we ask you to leave your children behind when you visit, however well behaved they are.
Pets: We LOVE all four legged folk (Sadly Daisy Doo our resident meeter greeter died on April 29th 2017). We can offer four-legged travelling companions one pet friendly suite.
The Woodstocker Inn is the bright yellow house at the West end of the village of Woodstock Vermont. We are directly opposite the Recreation Centre, which our guests are invited to use for a nominal fee. We are the only village inn with direct access to the State park and to abut Mount Tom where you can find easy access to the walking trails of the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park. Our garden provides a tranquil seating area and we also have a private guest car park. The jolly colours and eclectic style continue inside the house, in our guest bedrooms and bathrooms, in our dining room flooded with natural light coming through the patio doors and in our library which offers 24 hours COMPLIMENTARY refreshments, home made fruit cake and biscotti. As we are not licenced feel free to bring your own liquor, wine, beer or tipple of choice and we'll provide all the added bits.
Your hosts at the Woodstocker are Dora and David. Dora is of Italian extraction, David an Englishman born in Yorkshire and Daisy Doo a hypoallergenic rescue wheaten terrier who hails from Georgia. David & Dora moved from the UK in 2005 to create a new style of Bed & Breakfast. Having travelled and consumed hospitality all over the globe, we felt that Inns were due for a makeover to suit the 21st century traveller. Having spent our former working lives in UK book publishing sales & marketing, we wanted a hospitality business with a library for relaxing, contemporary design style, respect for the planet and a true appreciation of food. We are all committed foodies and proud members of the British Sausage Appreciation Society.
If we're not travelling which we do several times a year, the inn is always open.
