Events Wassail Weekend at Billings Farm
Date
Open 10am-4pm.
As Woodstock celebrates its 41st annual Wassail Weekend, Billings Farm & Museum invites guests to step back in time and experience the holiday spirit of the 1890s. Visitors can explore Victorian Christmas traditions, learn about the origins of Wassail, and view the authentically decorated Historic House. Hands-on activities include candle dipping, interactive butter making, and cooking demonstrations on a historic cookstove. Guests can also take part in the age-old custom of wassailing the orchard, singing to the trees and sharing bread and cider to bring a fruitful harvest in the year ahead.
Guests can warm up by the outdoor firepits with a cup of Wassail punch, capture festive photos among the holiday decorations and enjoy horse-drawn wagon or sleigh rides, available on Friday and Sunday from 11:00AM – 3:00PM, weather permitting.
Don’t miss the Billings Farm draft horses parading through downtown Woodstock during the iconic Wassail Parade at 2:00PM!
