DESCRIPTION:Open 10am-4pm. Closed December 24&25. \nStep into the wonder of a Victorian Holiday\, as the farm is beautifully transformed with twinkling lights and natural décor. The Historic House will be adorned in traditional 19th-century holiday trim\, with Interpreters on hand to share stories and traditions of holidays past.   \n\n\n   \n\n\nFamilies can take part in timeless activities including candle dipping\, apple tastings featuring dried apples and homemade applesauce\, and interactive butter making. Outdoors\, weather permitting\, guests can explore the Billings Farm Loop on a light snowshoe\, ski\, or hike\, then warm up by the fire pits with a cup of cocoa\, cider\, or coffee\, available for purchase from the Museum Gift Shop. On select days\, hop on a horse-drawn wagon or sleigh ride for a charming way to take in the wintry beauty of the farm. Before heading home\, be sure to browse the Museum Gift Shop for unique\, Vermont-made treasures\, perfect for holiday giving.

DESCRIPTION:As Woodstock celebrates its 41st annual Wassail Weekend\, Billings Farm & Museum invites guests to step back in time and experience the holiday spirit of the 1890s. Visitors can explore Victorian Christmas traditions\, learn about the origins of Wassail\, and view the authentically decorated Historic House. Hands-on activities include candle dipping\, interactive butter making\, and cooking demonstrations on a historic cookstove. Guests can also take part in the age-old custom of wassailing the orchard\, singing to the trees and sharing bread and cider to bring a fruitful harvest in the year ahead.   \n\n\nGuests can warm up by the outdoor firepits with a cup of Wassail punch\, capture festive photos among the holiday decorations and enjoy horse-drawn wagon or sleigh rides\, available on Friday and Sunday from 11:00AM – 3:00PM\, weather permitting.  \nDon’t miss the Billings Farm draft horses parading through downtown Woodstock during the iconic Wassail Parade at 2:00PM!

DESCRIPTION:Get ready to discover the world of eggs and learn all about chickens! Young learners will explore which animals lay eggs and enjoy a farm-fresh tasting of Billings cheesy eggs.\n \nSensory Story Hour is a movement-rich\, interactive experience designed for children ages 3-5 and their caregivers. Through stories\, song\, poetry\, rhymes\, sensory exploration\, and farm-themed activities\, children will build early literacy skills while engaging with the sights\, sounds\, and textures of the farm.  A local Vermont snack will be provided.\n \nOne adult is admitted free per paid child. Adult attendance is required.  Your registration fee does not cover admission to Billings Farm & Museum.  \n \nYounger siblings are welcome to join their parent or guardian during the program but will not be allowed to participate in the activities which are designed for children ages 3-5.

Children can explore sorting and sensory play stations\, while families can try their hand at a wool craft and share their own traditions on the Sharing Table. Seasonal flavors will come to life with apple tasting programs\, and guests can gather around the outdoor firepits\, with hot cocoa\, hot spiced cider\, and cider donuts available for purchase in the Museum Gift Shop. \n\n\n\nHoliday Shopping in the Billings Farm & Museum Gift Shop   \n\n\n\nBrighten up this “stick season” with a visit to the Billings Farm & Museum Gift Shop\, where shoppers can get a head start for the holidays. Featuring a wide array of Vermont-made products\, guests will find a great selection of plush farm animals and farm-themed toys\, along with locally crafted pottery and hand-carved woodwork. Shoppers will find specialty foods such as maple syrup\, honey\, and Billings Farm’s award-winning cheddar cheeses\, made exclusively with the milk from the farm’s Jersey herd.
