Thanks to a new Vermont state guidance, summer camps and ready and raring to go—with precautions like masks, limited group sizes, increased sanitization, and more to protect kids from the spread of COVID-19.

That's why we've compiled 5 awesome, wholesome camps in and around Woodstock that you and your little ones will love...

Note: Per Vermont Department of Health requirements, children arriving from most out-of-state counties must quarantine for 14 days or be tested at day 7 before entering childcare, summer programs or after-school programs.

Artistree Summer Camps

Location: 2095 Pomfret Rd, South Pomfret, VT

Ages: Grouped by ages 3-5, 5-7, 5-9, 8-12, 8-14, 9-14

Structure: AM (9 AM-12 PM) and PM (1-4 PM) day camps Monday through Friday

Ages: Grouped by ages 5-9 (Day Camp), 6-8 (Launch Half), 7-9 (Launch Full), 9-12 (Core), 12-13 (Core X), 12-14 (Summit Mid or Expedition), 13-16 (Summit High), 14-17 (Leadership), 15-17 (Counselors in Training)

Structure: Night and day camps. Modifications pending to the current structures of Day Camp (4- or 5-day camps, 8:15 AM to 4 PM); Launch Half (2-night camp); Launch Full (4-night); Core, Summit Mid, Summit High, Expedition, Leadership (5-night); Core X and Counselors in Training (2-week overnight)

Activities: Faith-based learning. Games, songs, watersports, crafts, disc golf, archery, overnight trips (for older campers), leadership development

Billings Farm & Museum’s Junior Farmer Camp



Location: 69 Old River Rd, Woodstock, VT

Ages: 8-12 (grades 3-6)

Structure: Weekly day camp sessions Monday through Friday, 9 AM-4 PM

Activities: Caring for sheep, goats, chickens, and heifers, tractor-drawn wagon rides, games, crafts, gardening, cooking, hiking, and more.

Location: Barnard Academy, Reading Elementary, and Woodstock Elementary

Ages: Grades 1-12

Structure: Day camps Tuesday through Friday grouped by activity and campus location

Pricing: Free to all Windsor Central Supervisory Union students

The Vermont Institute of Natural Science Summer Camps

Location: 149 Natures Way, Quechee, VT

Ages: Grouped by age 4-5 (Peeps), as well as grades 1-3 (Fledglings), 4-6 (Falcons), and 6-8 (Eagles)

Structure: Day camp. Weekly, three-day, two-day, or one-day camps running Monday through Friday, hours depend on age groups and programs

Activities: Hikes, crafts, outdoor exploration, animal encounters, imaginative play, animal tracking, woodland scouting, geocaching, swimming lessons, canoeing, science research and investigation, archery, falconry, and more.
