Book lover? This the place for you! What better place to be than beautiful Woodstock, Vermont, during Bookstock! Bookstock, the Vermont Festival of Words, will return to Woodstock, VT, on May 15, 16 & 17, 2026. The Green and other spaces around the village come alive with hands-on workshops; events for children; great food; and many more festivities. Plus our famous book sale of almost-new and charmingly old volumes, including first editions, and activities and exhibits at our partners like Artistree. Bookstock showcases literary luminaries and cross-cultural voices — including Pulitzer Prize winners, New York Times best selling authors, Poets Laureate, and National Book Award winners — in readings and conversations about their works and their lives. This year, we’ll feature a panel of Vermont Book Award winners, poets, and the Vermont Youth Poet Laureate. To keep up to date, please subscribe for our email updates.
