About North Universalist Chapel Society
Guided by Unitarian Universalist principles, North Chapel sustains the spiritual lives of our members and supports the social, cultural, and civic life of our Vermont community. People of all religious backgrounds and orientations are warmly welcome, and our historic church serves as an inspirational space for Sunday services, weddings, memorials, holidays, and concerts.
The North Universalist Chapel Society is a short walk from Woodstock’s picturesque green and covered bridge, and offers a variety of beautiful spaces for events from large weddings to elopements, receptions, workshops, meetings and other gatherings.
The Sanctuary’s huge glass windows fill the church with light by day, and provide a dramatic backdrop for events at night. Superior acoustics, a spectacular organ and grand piano, and a high-quality sound system allow an array of music options. Other spaces include a small Meditation Chapel with separate entrance, the Riverside Garden along the Ottauquechee River, a Social Hall with a small warming kitchen, the Library, and the Parlor.
