Plymouth Cheese Factory
About Plymouth Cheese Factory
America’s Oldest Cheddar. The Plymouth Cheese Factory was founded in 1890 by President Calvin Coolidge’s family. In 2009, we revived the original Coolidge cheddar recipe and the original way they used to package the cheese in wax. Today, we are a family-run cheese factory in Plymouth, Vermont making heritage raw milk cheddar in an inspired array of distinctive artisan flavors.
The Plymouth Cheese Factory Store is open 11 – 5 everyday. The Factory is located on the Calvin Coolidge Historic Site in Plymouth Notch, Vermont.
A visit to the Plymouth Cheese Factory entails a self-guided tour which includes viewing windows into the cheese rooms, the retail store, and the upstairs antique cheese equipment display.
