Welcome to Sleep Woodstock Motel, the classic mid-century motel built by missionary Abram Landis in beautiful Vermont. Originally named the Ottauquechee Motor Lodge for the river flowing across the road, Sleep Woodstock Motel has a long tradition of offering visitors comfortable and affordable accommodations with park-at-your-door convenience.

“WOW!!! LIKE WOW!!!
I stayed at the Sleep Woodstock Motel due to the proximity to the GMHA showgrounds. All I can say is WOW!!! The moment I opened the door, I felt this room’s cleanliness from top to bottom!! The bathroom and shower alone looked like they had never been used…like ever. The room was spotless, towels and sheets nice and clean, and the room felt clean, spacious, and very comfortable. And the mattress was very firm as this is a biggy for me too and I slept wonderfully. I would highly recommend it as I will use them again next year should I attend the show. THANK YOU for a very pleasant stay!!! :)”

Independently owned and operated by Leslie Browne and Patrick Fultz, Sleep Woodstock Motel is a true motor inn with ample parking and 12 clean and cheerful rooms for budget-conscious travelers. Constructed in 1959 by Mr. Landis, the first pastor at Bridgewater’s Bethany Mennonite Church, this bit of Americana has gone through phased updates that retained its original character with adding a boutique quality.
Built at a time when gas was 25¢ a gallon and the Internet was only a dream, today’s motel includes a “Wall of Art,” free WiFi, flat-screen TVs with cable, hair dryers, Keurig coffeemakers, microwave ovens, and mini-refrigerators in every room. Pet-friendly and wheelchair-accessible accommodations are available.
Located along U.S. Route 4 (also called West Woodstock Road), the motel is close to all the area has to offer and only 8 minutes from The Green and the center of The Village. Enjoy Woodstock’s vast array of eateries, galleries, concerts, and antique shops, as well as world-class skiing, hiking, fall color, and whitewater rafting on the Ottauquechee River.
Closed after Hurricane Irene, the Ottauquechee Motor Lodge—now Sleep Woodstock Motel—is experiencing an exciting revival welcomed by locals and visitors alike. The love Leslie and Patrick have for the area and their historic motel is surpassed only by their commitment to making your stay relaxing.
