Events MUD DANCE: At Home in the Stream

Date

This event has no more occurrences

After the 2023 flood waters receded from the banks of the Ottauquechee, Judith explored the ruined landscape adjacent to the River Trail.

From the mud and rubble she unearthed rusted artifacts and fragments of glass, pottery, wood and brick with which she constructed figures that bear witness to the transformative impact of the flood.

In a presentation featuring stories, images, and a brief musical coda, Judith will discuss what her encounter revealed about the challenges and opportunities inherent in any kind of creative work — be it a painting, a poem or the composition of a life.
FREE! All are welcome!

Judith Taylor is an artist living in Woodstock, VT. She exhibits her work at Artistree's gallery. As a visual artist, writer and teacher, she continually explores the possibilities and challenges of the creative process.
