Showing Saturday, January 4th and Sunday, January 5th at the Billings Farm & Museum Visitor Center Theater, this film offers a behind-the-scenes look at the National Ballet of Canada as it prepares a legacy-defining new production of Swan Lake, led by ballet icon Karen Kain on the eve of her retirement. Directed by Chelsea McMullen, the film gives intimate glimpses into the dancers’ personal lives along with their collective efforts to challenge ballet’s traditional ideals of race, class, and body type. Through their struggles, the film captures the passion and dedication driving them to create something lasting. Tickets are $15, and $12 for Billings Farm & Museum members.
