Cocktail Perfection: A Simple Recipe in Honor of Lobsters on the Green

The 3rd Annual Lobsters on the Green is just days away, but it’s plenty of time to perfect this simple drink recipe! Try your hand at mixology in honor of the delicious drink that’ll be served by SILO Distillery at the upcoming dinner on Woodstock’s town green: the Cape Codder!

If you’re looking for a simple, refreshing summer cocktail, look no further! It goes by many names – including Vodka Cranberry – and has inspired variations from the Bay Breeze to the Bog Fog to the Rangoon Ruby. But as we all know, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so it’s no wonder the Cape Codder continues to hold its own as a warm-weather staple!

The Cape Codder

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz SILO Vodka
  • 1/2 cranberry juice
  • Dash of lime juice

Instructions:

  1. Pour the vodka and cranberry juice (3 to 6 oz, to taste) into a chilled highball glass with ice
  2. Stir well
  3. Squeeze the juice from a lime wedge into the glass
  4. Serve with a garnish of lime
