FREE IRISH DANCE WORKSHOP

Sean-nós (“old style”) Irish dance features footwork danced close-to-the-floor, a relaxed upper body, and a playful dialogue between the dance and the music. Students in this class will gain comfort and confidence in making percussive music with their feet — to the joyful melodies of traditional Irish tunes. If time permits, we will also try an easy step dance and/or a group céilí dance. For all levels — no experience needed!

This class will include a warm-up, dance instruction, demonstration, and cool-down. Students will be given time at the end of the class to video-tape the step sequences that are taught.
