Become a steward of your own healthy food source. This workshop will cover poultry-raising topics such as breed selection, chick sourcing, brooding, housing, and optimizing feed for a thriving flock.  Participants will gain insights into predator protection strategies and ways to troubleshoot common health issues.  The workshop will also cover when and how to safely and humanely harvest meat birds.

Billings Backyard is a series of workshops designed to teach sustainable living skills to adult participants and is underwritten by a generous grant from the SpringRiver Private Foundation Trust.  Each workshop includes hands-on demonstrations and concrete steps for incorporating these skills into everyday life.

Each session is $15/person, $10/Billings Farm member. Registration and course details are at billingsfarm.org/billings-backyard.
