This event has no more occurrences

Known as “The Collector of the Curious,” local author Joseph A. Citro has done more than anyone to keep Vermont’s Strange and Terrifying tales alive in the popular culture.

Join him at Artistree as he peeks into the shadows and reveals the dark side of the Green Mountain State. It’s a place seething with spirits, crawling with cryptids, and bursting with all manner of things that go bump in the night. Some tales you may have heard; some will surprise you; and a few might be too close for comfort!

Join us, won’t you, for this pre-Hallowe’en sampler of delightful local oddities.

Bring a friend, or at least a hand to hold…

Tell a spooky tale or share an unnerving experience.

A Q&A session will follow the presentation.

A selection of Joseph Citro’s books will be available for purchase and signing.

Joseph A. Citro will be remembered as the first author in the history of our state to systematically collect and publish the legends, lore, and strange-but-true history of his native Vermont. His mission is to keep these stories alive so they can be passed along to future generations. To that end he has authored 20 books, provided 22 years of public radio commentary, lectured widely, and made frequent appearances on local and national radio and television. The Boston Globe awarded him the coveted title “Bard of the Bizarre!”

Free and open to the public. Donations welcome.
