In this hands-on class, Chef Ted will teach you how to make a breadless (and breathless!) scallop–crab cake, along with a classic New England fish chowder.

Chowder holds a special place in New England food culture—there are even laws outlining what can (and cannot) be called chowder. A well-made chowder is one of the most comforting dishes any time of year, and here you’ll learn the foundations that make it truly excellent.

Whether you’re new to the kitchen or refining your craft, this class is tailored to your level of experience—offering personalized guidance, technique, and confidence.

Join us for a relaxed lesson at our hilltop idyll. Weather permitting, we’ll light a fire indoors, or you may dine outside among the view and fresh air.

BYOB and EAT WHAT YOU MAKE!

Seasonal Note: The scallop–crab cake will be served either with a corn and vanilla sauce or a watermelon salsa, depending on what is freshest and in season.

A two-person minimum is preferred, though we often have singles on a waitlist—please reach out.

This experience typically takes place on Sunday evenings. If you need a different day or time, we’re happy to discuss alternatives.
