Workshop participants will explore how hydroponics works by seeding, transplanting and harvesting vegetables. They also will learn about the ancient history of hydroponic growing and the science connection to food access and climate and help deliver fresh produce to a local food shelf.

Participants are asked to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes as activities will take place both outside and in the hydroponics labs. Gloves and snacks will be provided.

To request language interpretation, translation assistance and/or a disability-related accommodation to participate, please contact UVM Extension 4-H Educator Camille Kauffman at (802) 780-0074 or camille.kauffman@uvm.edu by July 28.
