The Lamartine Quartet (formerly the Quartet Bussieres) was formed by four long-time musician friends as part of an initiative to bring first-rate chamber music programs to the Saône-et-Loire area of Burgundy, as well as to New England and New York audiences. The members of the quartet are violinist Bruno Eicher (Assistant Concertmaster, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra) and Elizabeth Chang (Faculty, University of Massachusetts and Juilliard Pre-College); violist Nardo Poy (Orpheus Chamber Orchestra) and Kari Docter (Metropolitan Opera Orchestra).
