Events Vulture Sister Song: Artist-in-Residence Performance at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park

Please arrive before 5:15pm to find a seat. The performance of Vulture Sister Song will begin promptly at 5:30pm and will last 35-40 minutes. You are welcome to come early and stay after the performance to meet with the performers and enjoy a beautiful summer evening in the mansion gardens.
This event will take place in the formal gardens behind the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller mansion. Parking is at the Billings Farm & Museum Parking lot, across the street from the National Park. If using a GPS, enter "69 Old River Rd, Woodstock, VT 05091". To enter the National Park, take the paved path to the right of the Billings Farm & Museum Visitor Center, walk up and cross the street, and then take the left fork and walk up the short, steep hill to the Carriage Barn Visitor Center. Continue by following signage directing you to the event in the gardens. Limited accessible parking (no placard required) is available behind the mansion for visitors who cannot walk up the steep hill. During busy days and events, an electric cart is available to pick up passengers at the Billings Farm & Museum and bring them up to the National Park. Vulture Sister Song is an interdisciplinary performance organized by 2024 Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park Artist-in-Residence and Upper Valley dance artist Ellen Smith Ahern, in collaboration with musicians, writers and dancers from around the country: Pete Dybdahl, Kate Elias, Jacob Elias & Josina Guess. The project includes live performance and an accompanying guidebook of illustrations, stories, and environmental education.

Touring nationally, Vulture Sister Song has folks imagining, questioning and singing along.
